weekend with family
So a couple of weekends ago (yeah so I'm a bit behind with my blogging) my old eldest sister came over for a self-proclaimed long weekend. With her husband. And a few kids... like five or so. I quite enjoy the size of our little ol' place because it accommodated them quite well. Or so I like to think... I suppose you'd have to ask them. Nine people and a dog, several of the former of whom enjoyed chasing the latter around. Suffice it to say it was a busy half week.
They'd hoped for a while to come but leaving the farm requires timing and a bit of good fortune. But they finally made it. They brought enough bedding for an army and we thoughtfully provided some floor space. Good thing kids don't require mattresses to sleep at night; remember those days? Yeah me neither.
Good times were had. A few of us went to the Museum of Civilization one day and the guys went to the War Museum another day. I hadn't been to either yet, so they were nice to finally see.
Carrie is in DC this week so I'm on my own.
I'd blog more extensively but I'm currently a little distracted... more on that soon.
Waiting with bated breath for the rest...
ReplyDeleteDon't forget to drink your milk while Carrie's gone!!
ReplyDeleteps. Remember this? "Ger-ody, ger-ody, ger-deedeedee..."
Yep. I've been singing it while changing dirty diapers. Thanks a lot for teaching me that.
I can't remember why we used to sing that! Does anyone else?
