December

December was the month Santa decided to splurge on Lily. He got her a cell phone, a tablet, and a camera. (Her parents reserve the right to hog these items as they see fit.)

The camera is one of those mirrorless systems: interchangeable lens but without the bulky body of an SLR. This upgrade from our point-and-shoot means better indoor pictures, so hopefully we'll get some good shots of Lily's childhood after all.

Despite some good (snowy) weather late in December, we made it to southern Ontario to spend time with family over Christmas. Not a long visit, but just long enough to show Lily around (since I don't post enough pictures) and do lots of holiday snacking.

Lily transfixed by that one grey hair.

No we didn't dole out lemon juice; someone has discovered her upper lip.

Biggest and littlest cousins.

"Man, why are chairs always too small for me??"

...

Yesterday Lily turned four. Months, that is. She's over 12 lbs now and has finally outgrown the dog (who helped by being sick recently and shedding some weight). I'm obligated to post something since it's been a while, so here's a dump of Lily shots. Enjoy.

We visited family over Remembrance Day weekend. Cuddling with Oma.

Chillin' with dad.

The flaring nostrils signal some major pouting. Is this not the cutest look ever?! (The devil eyes don't help, but I haven't the patience to edit pictures.)

The full-on pout.

Telling a story.

Looking like a beached whale. But nice outfit, mom!

Being fitted for a hat.

When we yank her out of her swing, her legs sometimes get left behind.

In all her eye-searing glory. Her feet won't reach the bottom for a while... and she needs blanket padding to keep her upright... and she can hardly reach the toys. But she loves it!
