Trip to BC - part 2
Langley, the old stomping grounds. For Carrie anyway; I lived there only three years. With the in-laws moved out of town, our default lodgings are no longer available. Fortunately, Carrie's brother Daryl bought a house in Langley recently, so we stayed with them for the next week and a bit. It was a great opportunity for uncles and aunts and nephews and nieces to become (re)acquainted. We finally met our latest nephew Micah...
Awww...
"Can't keep both eyes open... too... tired..."
His aunt Carrie made him a nice sweater...
...and Micah's mom made a beautiful painting of Lily!

We made a number of visits to Lily's great-grandparents (you descendents who live nearby don't know how good you have it... visit regularly!). We had some very nice pictures taken, since you never know when such an opportunity will arise again.
The ladies: four generations!
And with the other great-grandmother.
Great-grand-kin spending quality time.
The family was kind enough to organize a meet'n'greet for the extended family, so we could see everyone again and show off Lily & Micah. We took the opportunity to get various other family photos taken. Here's one with the in-laws and their brood of grandkiddies.
A quick two-day trip to Washington to visit some friends...

Hanging out at Costco in Olympia.
...and an enjoyable afternoon with former Ottawans.
We did the rounds, visiting so many people and yet not enough. So little time, as hard as that is to believe. I guess there's always next time...
