Happy New(ish) Year!

Wow, my first post of the year. Shameful, really. I guess nothing ever happens worth reporting... and since no news is good news, yay!

I'll just dump a bunch of photos of Lily-bug and be done for the moment. You see, we're just that busy (says the guy on his 28th last day of a BC vacation). That's right, Carrie conned me into heading west with her for a spell. She's just finished a month-long French course (3 hrs a day), and we're now hanging out in Vernon with her parents. We hope to visit the Fraser Valley, Washington state, and Smithers in the next few weeks. I'll have to get used to being productive on this tiny laptop, but I'll get used to it quickly enough.

One of Carrie's reasons for my tagging along the entire month was easier travel with an ornery infant and all the accompanying gear. We flew from Ottawa via Calgary yesterday and I'll concede it might have been challenging if it were just the two of them. I travel the lightest of us all, so it pays off for her to let me along as a sherpa.

Lily didn't cry too terribly much at first (but ask our fellow passengers). She did miss her 3-hour morning nap, however, which caught up to her soon enough. The longer flight to Calgary was nicer, with an empty seat between us for all our extra crap. The last leg, in which we didn't have extra space, was mercifully short at 45 minutes. But we made it intact, with huge stroller and car seat (with base) and too much luggage.

Enough blabbing. Enjoy the pictures of munchkin learning to eat!
