warmth

Well, I guess summer's here... weather-wise. The last few days have been kind of hot and humid, gearing us up for the next couple of months. Ottawa seems to be Canada's hotspot today... right now it's 33 degrees, feels like 42. Church was an interesting affair; no air conditioning, plus the knowledge that a cool basement lies directly below us. Perhaps when people start keeling over we'll decide to move services downstairs. But I think people just need some time to acclimatize; everyone's pretty wussy during the first few really cold days upon the arrival of winter weather, and the same likely applies to summer.

Our place has central air conditioning but we haven't needed it yet until a couple of days ago; however, upon telling it to work... it didn't. Oh well, I might just have to work from the basement for a couple of days until it's fixed. Or I could work from the car; my income would nicely offset the fuel cost of having it running all day. Hmmm...
